2019 (IISER Mohali folk)
2019/2020 CNS, IISc lab pic
Our laboratory has moved to The Centre for Neuroscience (CNS) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. We were previously part of the Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali.
We are interested in understanding the molecules and signals underlying normal brain function. Many of the molecules and mechanisms required for the functioning of the nervous system are conserved between the free-living roundworm, Caenorhabditis elegans and higher organisms. We use C. elegans as the model organism to understand the molecular and cellular basis of normal brain function.
The lab is currently staffed by a principal investigator, two post-doctoral fellows, seven doctoral students, a SRF, a JRF, two undergraduate students, a lab technician and an administrative assistant.
